IPEEC’s G20 Energy Efficiency Finance Task Group will host a full-day even on ‘Creating opportunities for financing and investment in energy efficiency’ together with the Mexican Ministry of Energy (SENER) and the National Commission for the Efficiency Use of Energy (CONUEE) on 13 September 2017 in Me City.

Building on the collaborative framework provided by the G20 Energy Efficiency Investment Toolkit, this workshop will focus on the concrete opportunities and implementation of this framework in Me .

High-level speakers from the Mexican government and international financial institutions will set the scene with an overview of the energy efficiency policy framework in Me and a perspective from public financial institutions. This is followed by a presentation of the toolkit and two panels with in depth discussions about the role of development banks and commercial banks in energy efficiency financing respectively.

The event will take place on 13 September 2017 from 11am – 5.30pm at the Expo Santa Fe.
