02 Jun 2019

This webinar will address recent research on plug-in electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure development and usage and the critical role of utilities in enabling the growth of the EV market.

We will address the prospective impacts of EVs on the electricity grid, how much charging is needed, what kinds of charging (e.g. home, workplace, and public charging), and associated impacts on charging costs and upstream electricity emissions. We will also examine emerging charging trends from recent in-use data related to vehicle range, charging speed and price.

The G20 Transport Task Group (TTG) was established by the G20 in 2014 to support the development and implementation of world-class policies that reduce the energy and environmental impacts of the transportation sector, especially heavy-duty vehicles (HDVs). The TTG is led by the US EPA and DG CLIMA, implemented by the ICCT and the GFEI, and administered by IPEEC. Participation in the TTG is voluntary and open to all G20 economies.
