IPEEC aims to be a leading source of energy efficiency solutions for global policy makers and industry leaders. IPEEC acts as an international knowledge center, which stimulates multilateral experience exchange, defines and analyses best practices for international cooperation, and contributes to global efficient and sustainable development. Through its core activities of information exchange, partnership building and international cooperation, IPEEC helps facilitate knowledge sharing and coordinates activities to avoid duplication of efforts. Three key IPEEC EE Solutions initiatives include the Making Energy Efficiency Real (MEER) database, the Clean Energy Solutions Center (CESC), and the Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) Clearinghouse.

IPEEC has partnered with the Clean Energy Solutions Center (CESC) to increase its impact in helping countries around the world with the design and implementation of energy efficiency policies and programs. The CESC serves as a first-stop clearinghouse of clean energy policy reports, data and tools. It provides interactive expert assistance and training forums. The Solutions Center is an initiative of the Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM). It is a global forum to share best practices and promote policies and programs that encourage and facilitate the transition to a global clean energy economy.

IPEEC is partnering with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)’s Global Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) Clearinghouse to co-manage the Energy Efficiency Community. The Global SCP Clearinghouse, a unique one-stop hub dedicated to SCP and convened by UNEP, aims to bring together and expand the SCP community worldwide. It will collect, disseminate and share the latest news on SCP as well as cooperation opportunities in order to trigger more innovation and cooperation towards SCP implementation around the world. Relevant initiatives, policies, tools and best practices will be highlighted in the clearinghouse.
